The Comedy School offers classes for adults and teens who are interested in learning comedic arts under the supportive guidance of seasoned instructors.
Instructor: Jennifer Subrin
DESCRIPTION: The Comedy School presents improv seminars for adults age 18+.
Sign up for a seminar and expect a lively evening of improv games, as well as an introduction to the scene work that takes place within the long form improv structure. Class always begins with a quick discussion related to the terms we will cover, and then moves into warm-up games and scene building. The mood is focused, yet fun and lighthearted.
DETAILS: Summer classes are limited. Please check back for classes and workshops.

'I'd love to try more of Jennifer Subrin's classes at the Comedy School of Cape Cod; she is such a fun, imaginative teacher! She makes teenagers feel really comfortable, even when they're trying out new things. I felt more confident after taking her Teen Improv Workshop. And I hope Ms. Subrin offers it again next summer!'

Jennifer trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York City, where she studied and performed long form improvisation and sketch for three years. She received her Bachelor’s degree from University of Vermont, and her Master’s degree this past spring from Boston University. Her academic concentrations were in English Literature and Clinical Psychology.
Jennifer has instructed students in comedy arts for well over a decade on both coasts of the States, and in 2012, introduced the Outer Cape to long form comedy improvisation through her dynamic classes for adults and children. She’s looking forward to continued development of a local comedy improv scene, as well as establishing a permanent home for The Comedy School.
Since 2010, Jennifer has lived year-round in Wellfleet, Cape Cod, with her rescue dog, Licorice, as well as her husband and daughter. When not running The Comedy School, Jennifer enjoys swimming pools and The Great British Bake Off.
